Story:

This is a game where you play as a little pawn, who lost his entire family and now wants revenge on the EVIL white pieces. Using your trusted scythe and dodging abilities, you will be able to exact revenge.

Connection To The Them:

When we thought about little guys - we instictively tried to think about small objects from our world, which we could spring to life! we landed on this concept, where you are a pawn who wants to avenge the black pieces for his fallen comrades.

This Is Our First Gam!

yay! we are really proud of ourselfs, but we are beginners, so if you find a bug or two please tell us, (nicely) it will be greatly appreciated!

Being Honest:

if you are playing this game, there is a good chance this is your first time participating also! be proud of youself. what you made might not be perfect, ours defenitly wasnt. our code quality kinda sucked, we at least hope the art and music came out well. 😅

A Little Note:

we made this project with the Godot engine, and C#. being java devs, this was a little annoying, because java and C# are very similar, but have their subtle differences. learning C#, combined with learning Godot, made for a tough challange. but we persevered, justifying it by saying "at least it would be able to be played in the browser" - only to find out, that we cannot export it to a web version! 😭😭😭.

long story short - sorry for not having a web version for you to play! (we actually found a way to put the game on web! it was a little strange so if the web build isn't working correctly, thats why.)

Credits:

our friend Ori - he made the music for the game and wasn't avalible so we couldn't really add him in itch.

https://github.com/ComplexRobot - we dont know him but he made a project that lets Godot C# projects be exported to web. Thank You! - ComplexRobot - please check his github.
